What We Offer

IMG_2342.jpg
Certified Organic Beef

We believe in raising beef the way nature intended. We produce healthy local food without hormones, antibiotics, GMOs, herbicides, pesticides, fungicides, or a drop of synthetic fertilizer. This benefits our environment, provides our cattle with the highest quality of life, and provides you with healthy protein. This is beef you can truly feel good about eating. Our cows graze on permanent pastures from May to November. During the winter months they are housed inside on a compost bedded pack. They are fed a total mixed ration which consists of home grown forages (Corn and Alfalfa), soybeans and mineral. Of course all feed is certified organic and never contains GMO's. During the grazing months, cattle are strip grazed on our mixed pasture. This means our cows move to a fresh strip of grass twice daily. This ensures efficient grazing while allowing our pasture to recover. Our number one goal for our herd is animal comfort. When we take care of our cows they provide us with the best quality meat and milk. We sell whole or half sides of beef, custom cut to your specifications. Please contact us for orders or inquiries.

Berkshire Pork

We breed purebred Berkshire pigs. Berkshire pigs are a heritage breed developed in England during the 1800s. Berkshires are slower growing than conventional pigs, taking up to 10 months to finish. They provide superior meat quality and flavour due to the incredible amount of intramuscular marbling. Our pigs are group housed on a deep bedded straw pack. This allows them to root and express their natural behaviours. They are fed fresh whole milk from our dairy herd along with a dry feed of corn, beans, mineral and ensiled forages. We sell whole or half sides of pork, custom cut to your specifications. We also sell weaners and breeding stock. Please contact us for orders or inquires.

Honey Bees and Hive Products

Our family has been keeping bees for about 20 years, and now manage around 100 colonies. We sell raw, unpasteurized pure honey. This is important as pasteurization destroys many of the beneficial qualities of honey. Our honey is minimally filtered, ensuring local pollen grains are not removed. We also sell other hive products such as propolis and pure beeswax. We are registered Ontario Queen and Nuc Producers. Our apiaries are inspected on an annual basis to ensure the health and quality of our bees. We raise our own queens from our best local overwintered stock and do not import from out of country. This means all our bees are 100% Canadian! We sell nucleus colonies and mated queens for those wanting to share in our passion for apiculture. Look for our honey at local retailers including Wild Hog Country Market (Stratford), Woodstock Farmers Market, and Innerkip Pharmacy. Or contact us to purchase directly from the farm.

Silver Laced Wayndotte Chickens

We have one of the last flocks of Standard Silver Laced Wyandottes in Canada. Wyandottes are a heritage, dual purpose breed developed in the Northeast USA and Canada during the 1880s. They were bred as a large bodied bird, with a rose comb, allowing them to thrive in harsh winter temperatures. We hatch chicks on our farm in the late winter and they are raised during spring and summer on pasture. The adult laying flock graze on our cattle pastures where they indulge on fresh vegetation and insects. Fresh pasture raised eggs have a dark orange yolk and intense flavour. To taste the difference contact us to purchase fresh eggs directly from the farm. Our Wyandottes are exhibition quality and are bred to the American Standard of Perfection. In 2023, we received 1st prized Silver Laced Wyandotte pullet and cockerel at both the Royal Agriculture Winter Fair and the Ontario Poultry Breeders Association Show. We sell late summer pullets and cockerels for breeding stock. We do not sell hatching eggs. Please reach out to inquire about birds.
